A Shorter Apple-Picking Season, But Fall Fun Continues at Sweet Water Farms!

October 9, 2026
Fall is one of our favorite times of year at Sweet Water Farms, and we're so grateful to everyone who has visited our orchard this season!
This year, however, Mother Nature had a few surprises in store for us.
A Challenging Year for Our Apple Orchard
Back in March, our region experienced an unusually early heat wave, bringing summer-like temperatures while our apple trees were still moving through important stages of their growing cycle.
Apple trees rely on seasonal weather patterns for healthy flowering, pollination, and fruit development. Unseasonably high temperatures can disrupt this delicate process, affecting the amount and quality of fruit produced later in the year.
With the challenges brought by this year's weather, our U-Pick apple season has come to an earlier end than we had hoped.
🍂 There's Still Plenty to Enjoy!
Although U-Pick apple picking is officially closed for the season, we're not quite ready to say goodbye to fall!
We still have some wonderful seasonal goodies available for purchase, including:
🍎 Freshly picked apples
🎃 Pumpkins
🌱 Seasonal garden goodies
🍂 Other farm-fresh treats and surprises!
We may continue welcoming visitors on weekends through October 25, depending on product availability. We encourage you to check our website or social media for updates before heading out.
❤️ Thank You for Supporting Our Little Farm!
Every visit, kind word, and purchase means so much to us. Farming comes with its share of unpredictability, and this year has been a reminder of just how much we depend on nature.
Despite the shorter picking season, we've loved sharing our orchard with returning visitors and new families alike.
Thank you for being part of the Sweet Water Farms community. We hope to see you for a little more fall fun before the season comes to a close!
With gratitude,
The Sweet Water Farms Family 🍎
